Oboe da caccia 415 Hz

after Johann Heinrich Eichentopf (1686-1769)
Musical Instrument Museum, Stockholm and Copenhagen

Johann Heinrich Eichentopf is credited with the invention of the oboe da caccia. It is an interesting symbiosis of woodwind and brass instruments. The body of the instrument is made of maple which is wrapped in leather. My oboe da caccia is available either as a two-piece instrument (like the original) or as a three-piece instrument. Also, there is the option of ordering a wooden bell instead of a brass bell (as the original has).

Each instrument includes a basic staple, and a fingering chart. (An instrument case can be ordered separately – see "Accessories".)
